family fun with the Tolmans

Last week, Randy {Jared's brother} and Tara and kids came down to hang out with us. We spent the evening at Trafalga in Lehi playing mini-golf {where Zoe discovered it was much quicker to just pick it up and drop it in the hole}, riding rides, eating pizza, and just having fun. Zoe loved seeing her cousins Ginny, Parker, and Ashton, and Alba fell in love with Aunt Tara. It was so fun to see them. Thanks for the good time! We love you guys!

Wm. Riley Landes

April 19, 1935 - April 3, 2012
William Riley Landes, 76, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 2, 2012, at his home in Cedar City, UT, of pancreatic cancer. He was born April 19, 1935, in the family home in Salt Lake City, UT. He was the youngest of four children born to Wm. Dewey Landes and Cleone Caroline Harrop. He married Francis Darnell Campbell on November 5, 1955. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple.
He was a very intelligent and hard-working man, a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a friend. He was a member of the LDS Church.
He graduated from South High School in 1953 and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Riley began his professional career as a draftsman in Salt Lake City. Later his employer, PM Engineers moved him and his family to Las Vegas, where his work shifted to structural engineering and estimating. He had his hand in the construction of nearly every hotel in Las Vegas. He was well-liked and respected by people in the industry and was a valuable employee and manager. He retired from Steel Structures in 2009.
Dinah (Darnell) was the love of his life and nothing brought him more joy than to be at her side. Theirs was a true love story. Riley's second love was spending time with his family, boating on Lake Mead, and building Mopars.
Riley is survived by his wife, Darnell and their four children: Doni Landes, Patti (Michael) Adams, Jeri (Rick) Bennett, Darin (Lisa) Landes, 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and his sister: Audrey. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Lyle, sister: Dorothy, and granddaughters Krista and Adriana.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 2:00p.m., at the Cedar West Stake Center, 725 South 1100 West, Cedar City, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to services from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Interment in the Cedar City Cemetery.
